When Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24 2022, the world we lived in changed. Vladimir Putin’s ‘special military operation’ was met with fierce opposition from the Ukrainian people – many of whom resent Russia for their earlier annexation of Crimea in 2014.
