How Ozempic Impacts People With Mental Health Issues

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – More promising news about Ozempic, the drug developed to treat diabetes, that is now also being used for weight loss. Now, it’s being used by some doctors to counteract the weight gain that is often a side effect of taking anti-psychotic and antidepressant medications.

One of the first doctors to study this use, Dr. Mahavir Agarwal, talked with WCCB News @ Ten anchor Morgan Fogarty and said that until we develop drugs that do not have metabolic side effects, he believes we have to treat those side effects.
