LAKE CITY — Stewart Memorial Community Hospital and McCrary-Rost clinics have hired Kate DeWall, a licensed Iowa social worker, to offer virtual therapy for patients of all ages and backgrounds.
She brings with her a decade of experience, cultural competency, and a loyal following of patients. She holds a master’s degree in social work from St. Ambrose University in Davenport.
“Ms. DeWall’s depth of experience, knowledge, and compassion will complement our organization well,” said SMCH Chief Clinic Officer Leigh Miller.
DeWall specializes in a variety of mental health topics including conflict resolution, healthy relationships, stress relief, trauma, abuse, food and gut health, the importance of social connection, and more.
“There’s a great need for mental health care in rural areas like ours,” said Miller. “Adding her to our team will help us assuage this need in the most convenient way possible.”
