HIV की दवा को लेकर WHO ने जारी की नई सलाह –

एचआईवी से पीड़ित मरीजों को दी जाने वाली दवा डॉल्यूटेग्रेवर (Dolutegravir) को लेकर विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन ने नई आधिकारिक सलाह जारी की है, जिसमें सभी एचआईवी पॉजिटिव मरीजों को पहले और दूसरे स्तर के इलाज के लिए डॉल्यूटेग्रेवर का इस्तेमाल करने के लिए कहा गया है। इस दवाई को एचआईवी पॉजिटिव प्रेग्नेंट महिला के लिए सेफ बताते हुए उन्हें भी इसे देने का सुझाव दिया गया है।

दरअसल, कुछ समय पहले ऐसे दावे किए गए थे कि एचआईवी पॉजिटिव प्रेग्नेंट महिलाओं द्वारा डॉल्यूटेग्रेवर के इस्तेमाल से उनके बच्चे में न्यूरल ट्यूब डिफेक्ट सामने आए। हालांकि, ब्राजील व अन्य जगहों पर की गई स्टडी के बाद यह दावे गलत साबित हुए हैं, जिसके बाद डब्ल्यूएचओ ने डॉल्यूटेग्रेवर को लेकर प्रेस रिलीज जारी की। हालांकि, इस रिलीज में विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन द्वारा इस बात पर भी जोर दिया गया कि दवा का चुनाव पूर्ण रूप से मरीज की सहमति पर ही होना चाहिए।

The World Health Organization has issued a new official advisory regarding the drug dolutegravir given to patients with HIV, in which all HIV-positive patients have been asked to use Dolutegravir for the first and second levels of treatment. Describing this medicine as safe for HIV positive pregnant women, it has also been suggested to give it to them.

In fact, some time ago there were claims that the use of dolutegravir by HIV-positive pregnant women resulted in neural tube defects in their child. However, these claims have been proved wrong after studies done in Brazil and elsewhere, after which the WHO issued a press release regarding Dolutegraver. However, in this release it was also emphasized by the World Health Organization that the choice of drug should be solely on the consent of the patient.
